Leonor Mendoza has been working as a sculptor since 1990. Interested in disclosing similarities and differences between “fragility and strength, contained and continent”, Leonor’s work is a result of the actions of collecting, shaping, stamping, sewing, pressing, observing and installing. She has found great inspiration in both natural and industrial processes and work to create a seamless collaboration between the two.
She holds a BFA from the Federico Brandt Art Institute in Caracas and a Residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris (2000).
